Interim Principal

Ms. Brett is honored to serve as Interim Principal of Lakewood Tech EQ. Born and raised in Chico, California, she is beginning her 24th year in the Sunnyvale School District, bringing a wealth of experience in the classroom, in coaching, and in school leadership.

Ms. Brett began her career as a teacher at Columbia Middle School and later taught at Lakewood Elementary. She went on to serve as an Instructional Coach at Vargas Elementary and Sunnyvale Middle School, before spending the past six years as Assistant Principal and Interim Principal at Cherry Chase Elementary School. She is fully bilingual in Spanish and holds a BCLAD multiple subject teaching credential.

Lakewood holds a special place in Ms. Brett's heart; she was a parent in this community for four years, and she is grateful for the opportunity to give back to a school that gave so much to her own children. As she steps into this role, her priority is listening and learning, supporting district priorities, and building on the many strengths already present on campus.

Outside of school, Ms. Brett is the mother of two boys and enjoys traveling, reading, spending time with family and friends, walking the dog, and cheering on the 49ers.
